Trump Organization Attempted to Bring In Almost 200 Employees on Visas in 2025

Donald Trump’s family business accelerated its recruitment of overseas employees on temporary visas this year, while his government was placing obstacles for other companies attempting to do the identical, an analysis released recently stated.

Based on data from the US Department of Labor, the business sought to bring in at least 184 overseas employees in 2025 for temporary positions at the former president’s Mar-a-Lago resort, golf facilities and his Virginia winery.

The number of requests for H-2A and H-2B visas covering workers including servers, clerks, housekeepers, kitchen staff and agricultural laborers was the highest ever filed by the organization, and up from 121 in the previous term, when Trump’s first term concluded.

It was also the fifth instance in a decade that Trump had attempted to hire more than 100 foreign employees for seasonal jobs at Mar-a-Lago, according to labor statistics.

The revelation coincides with a tightening on immigration laws by his government that has involved the implementation of a substantial charge on skilled worker visas; increased review of the activities of the millions of people who possess US visas; and tighter regulations for foreign students and journalists.

In total, the business sought to employ over 560 overseas workers over the period the former president has been in the White House, from 2017 to 2021 and during the upcoming year.

Notably, the former president was criticized by certain in the GOP this period for remarks defending the necessity for foreign workers when a company was unable to find people with “particular skills” to occupy particular roles.
